TYPES OF THERAPY

 PSYCHODYNAMIC DEPTH THERAPY

Psychodynamic depth therapy invites you to explore unconscious patterns and emotions shaped by past experiences. As buried emotions and memories come into conscious awareness, space opens for greater clarity, understanding, and insight. At the heart of this work is a secure and trusting therapeutic relationship, providing a safe foundation for co-regulation and emotional safety. This kind of attuned, relational stability helps rewire old patterns and supports the development of a more integrated, authentic sense of self.

SOMATIC THERAPY

Somatic therapy is a gentle, body-centered approach to healing that helps you tune into physical sensations as a way to process emotions and past experiences. Because trauma (or unprocessed disturbance) lives in the body, not just the mind, this approach allow us to work with your nervous system directly, at a pace that feels safe and empowering for you. Together, we explore how your body holds stress, pain, or patterns from the past, and support you in finding more ease, regulation, and connection within yourself.

emdr Therapy

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a somatic trauma therapy that helps reduce or alleviate trauma symptoms and responses. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (via eye movements or gentle tactile taps) to process and integrate past traumatic events using a safe, structured, and methodical approach with the step-by-step guidance of the clinician. After EMDR, clients report less or no overwhelm or activation regarding past traumatic events and feel grounded and supported by a foundation of new resources.

MINDFULNESS-BASED THERAPY

Mindfulness-based therapy offers a grounded approach to cultivating compassion in your present experience, even when complicated feelings arise. This practice supports nervous system regulation and creates space to respond with choice, rather than react from old patterns. Mindfulness helps us connect with different parts of ourselves, especially the ones that carry pain, protection, or past experiences, allowing them to be met with curiosity and care. Over time, mindfulness becomes a natural, nurturing resource that fosters inner safety, healing, and a deeper trust in yourself.

Guidelines

Session Structure

Sessions are conducted remotely via Zoom. Standard therapeutic practice is one session per week, but in some cases, treatment may occur twice a week. Weekly sessions occur on the same day at the same time every week; your weekly session day/time is reserved for you.

Session Rates

Sessions are generally 50-minutes long. When longer session times are needed or preferred, the session fee will be prorated. Sliding scale rates are available based on individual circumstances to make services accessible. We can discuss what might work for you during the consultation.

Cancellation Policy

I maintain a 24-hour cancellation and rescheduling policy. Because appointment times are reserved for you and unavailable for others to reserve, cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment time are charged the full session fee.

Insurance

I am an out-of-network provider and do not work directly with any insurance company. However, I am happy to provide you with a “superbill” (a monthly statement of services rendered) if you wish to seek reimbursement from your insurance company.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate,” a document detailing how much your treatment will cost. Under the No Surprises Act (H.R. 133), healthcare providers must give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
